Controlled Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment, Policies and Forms Controlled Open Enrollment (COE)
Pursuant to Florida Statute §1002.31, our school participates in Controlled Open Enrollment, which allows a parent to enroll and transport his or her child to a Florida public school, including a charter school, that has not reached capacity. Students who reside in any Florida school district may apply, provided the student:
  • Is not currently subject to an expulsion or suspension, and
  • The requested grade level has available capacity at the time of enrollment.

Controlled Open Enrollment is subject to school capacity limitations, as determined by grade level, program, and facility constraints, in accordance with state law.

Charter schools are required to annually publish their Controlled Open Enrollment application process, including capacity and admissions procedures. Transportation is not provided through COE.
For additional information regarding Controlled Open Enrollment, please refer to:

Application Process
For application instructions and controlled open enrollment procedures, please click here: Open Enrollment, Policies and Forms

Applications received during our annual application period are reviewed based on available space and our school’s enrollment guidelines. If more applications are received during our application period than seats available, a lottery and/or waitlist will be used, as required by Florida law. Once the current waitlist has been filled, families who apply through Controlled Open Enrollment will be added to a waitlist and contacted if a seat becomes available.

Student Capacity and Seat Availability
In compliance with §1002.31, Florida Statutes, our school publicly posts student capacity (seat availability) by grade level.
  • Capacity data is updated every 12 weeks, as required by law.
  • Available seats may change during the 12‑week period due to student enrollment or withdrawal.
