Berkley Advanced Studies for 9th and 10th grade
Berkley's Advanced Studies  is a 9th and 10th grade program meeting the needs of students who desire to participate in an advanced program that will prepare them for the Collegiate High School experience at one of the three Polk collegiate campuses.  We are dedicated to providing rigorous educational opportunities for students that desire to be academically challenged.
Why Should I Choose Berkley’s Advanced Studies?
Berkley’s Advanced Studies is committed to equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and dedication necessary to succeed at the collegiate level.
Students will be challenged to excel in their academic pursuits, concentrating on Math, Science, Business and Interpersonal skills.  Our curriculum is structured so that each student will be ready to complete their Associate’s degree concurrently with their high school diploma at one of the three Polk collegiate high schools.  Classes are instructed at an advanced level for all students to reach their maximum potential.  Students are given the opportunity to earn many college credits to include College Success, Intermediate College Algebra, College Algebra, Health and Wellness, Finance and Business credits, and more.
Support for all students is given through research-proven teaching methods, a highly effective staff accompanied by a family atmosphere to create a learning environment that fosters individualized development for student success in a supportive, empowering, and safe educational environment.

Electives/Clubs/Sports
Elective classes  provide students the opportunity to explore areas of personal interest with an emphasis on science, math, business, and interpersonal skills.  Keeping in line with our Advanced Studies initiative, electives are offered as honors or collegiate courses.

Activities are student-driven and used to enrich and enhance the learning environment to incorporate the student’s personalized interests and earn community service hours at ASA. Clubs include Speech and Debate, Student Government,  National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Students, Book Club, Gaming Club, Robotics, Chess Club, Adventure Club (hiking, biking, and disk golf), and more!

The Advanced Studies program has monthly activities planned to enhance the special experience through educational and team building opportunities for our students.

Student athletes will participate in accredited sports programs at their zoned schools.
